Your new role
As a Regional General Manager you will be leading our Customer Delivery Centre and its outbases to success. You will be managing the operational standards for your sites, ensuring their safe and efficient running.
With a team of approximately 120 colleagues delivering an estimated £180m worth of customer deliveries, from a minimum of 2 different retail brands (DFS and Sofology), whilst ensuring we achieve our commitments in line with agreed SLAs to ensure optimum revenue performance. The individual will manage key regional and national relationships.
As well as looking after your colleagues, you'll also be managing key relationships with internal stakeholders, both regionally and nationally.
What you'll be doing
- Holding the accountability for the site in its entirety including daily interactions with all brand partners and the customer around key SLA's and costs
- Being incredibly focused on continuous improvement to deliver better outcomes for our customers, seeking to find improvements without having to be prompted
- Building and maintaining effective cross-functional relationships with both internal and external customers to create mutual trust, understanding and respect
- Working collaboratively with our external customers to ensure we deliver all agreed SLAs in line with their expectations
- Leading weekly calls with Retail Regional Managers to review forecasts and ways of working, and actioning next steps as required
- Overseeing and managing the smooth changeover of display stock in DFS and Sofology retail showrooms ensuring full support and execution of agreed processes
- Instilling a Customer focused culture that is aligned to our customer promise and works inline with our guiding principles.
- Providing strong, engaging and inspirational leadership to the CDC team, through clear regular communication, objective setting and performance management
- Giving continued focus on colleague engagement to drive greater performance and champion diversity in the workplace
- Working collaboratively with various different departments from fleet services, to health and safety to ensure all operations for your site are 100% compliant with all regulations
- Proactively managing the recruitment needs of the CDC with direct accountability for all management positions and ensuring the management team deliver a great candidate experience for new colleagues
- Taking a strategic approach towards financial budgeting, forecasting and planning for your region
- Ensuring your management team effectively resolves all people issues with appropriate support from the People team

- You have proven experience of management of remote/off site locations and teams
